Join YWCA Hamilton as a Service Coordinator, aiding women and gender diverse individuals impacted by homelessness. Engage in crisis intervention and advocacy to support client needs.
This temporary position offers hours between 0-14 per week and focuses on assisting individuals in crisis. Candidates should hold a Social Work degree or equivalent and demonstrate expertise in crisis management and a trauma-informed approach. The role involves collaboration with community partners and requires commitment to social justice principles.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support clients by conducting assessments and planning
• Provide crisis intervention and advocacy services
• Facilitate connections with community resources
• Manage daily programming and data collection
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold client privacy
Requirements:
• Post-secondary education in Social Work or similar
• Proven crisis management experience required
• Familiarity with social housing systems in Hamilton
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability and willingness to work varied shifts
