Social Service Case Worker

Become a vital part of the Hamilton Booth Centre team as a Case Worker. This permanent, full-time role focuses on supporting homeless individuals through effective case management strategies and community resource referrals.

As a Case Worker, you will support individuals at the Hamilton Booth Centre. Under direct supervision of the Program Manager, your responsibilities include developing caseloads, conducting assessments, and maintaining confidentiality. You will collaborate with community services and be actively involved in harm reduction initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage a personal caseload for each client

• Complete thorough intake assessments for shelter residents

• Provide referral counseling and problem-solving support

• Build community service networks and offer resources

• Record incidents accurately in required logs

Requirements:

• Diploma in Social Service or related field

• Proficient in Windows and Microsoft Office

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to handle challenging client interactions

• Successful completion of required background checks
