Respect, Awareness, Integrity, Person-Centered practice, and Community.

What You'll Be Doing

You will blend your experience and leadership in the Developmental Services Sector, and support Rygiel’s mission to enrich the lives of the people we support through relationships, independence, belonging, and advocacy. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Person-Directed Case Coordination
    • Carry primary case responsibility, including transitional-age youth and adults with complex support profiles, dual diagnosis, or behavioural support needs.
    • Maintain regular face‑to‑face engagement with each person on the caseload to build relationships, observe directly, and ensure continuity of care.

  • On‑Site Presence & Operational Oversight
    • Flex work hours to ensure presence at the locations they oversee outside of regular business hours, including occasional unannounced check‑ins during evening, overnight, and weekend shifts.
    • Participate in the organization‑wide on‑call rotation alongside all other Supervisors and Managers, covering approximately 3 to 4 weeks intermittently throughout the year, during which you respond to support emergencies at locations.
    • Respond to emergent issues at the locations during office hours, providing direction and support to staff as situations arise.
    • Ensure that each location has what it needs to operate safely and to deliver consistent, person‑centred support.
  • Interdisciplinary Collaboration
    • Contribute to interdisciplinary planning, drawing on clinical, behavioural, and community expertise, and collaborating with Registered Behaviour Analysts, psychiatrists, psychologists, and social workers.
    • Participate in team meetings, case reviews, and interdisciplinary planning in service of each person’s goals.
    • Engage with families, external agencies, and community partners with professionalism and a commitment to Rygiel’s values.
What You Bring
  • Diploma or degree in Social Service Work, Developmental Services, Behavioural Sciences, Social Work, Health Sciences, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3 to 5 years of progressive experience supporting adults or transitional‑age youth with developmental disabilities, dual diagnosis, mental health needs, or complex behavioural profiles.
  • Minimum 1 to 2 years of direct supervisory experience, including scheduling, performance management, and staff coaching.
  • Demonstrated experience in case management, person‑directed planning, and supervising or coaching frontline staff.
  • Working knowledge of MCCSS‑funded services, Passport, ODSP, the DSO, and broader Ontario developmental services pathways.
