YWCA Transitional Housing Worker

Your role will involve offering comprehensive support to women and gender-diverse individuals in need of housing assistance.

As part of the Housing and Gender-Based Violence Support Services team, you will deliver services that include crisis intervention, housing navigation, and counseling tailored to the unique needs of clients. This is a temporary, full-time position that allows you to contribute to community empowerment through your efforts in facilitating safe housing transitions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate on housing plans and resources

• Conduct tenant check-ins and evaluate safety needs

• Devise supportive strategies for trauma recovery

• Document daily client interactions and activities

• Partner with agencies to ensure effective referrals

Requirements:

• Two years of social work or related education

• 1-3 years of relevant experience in crisis settings

• Knowledge of local housing practices and legal frameworks

• Familiarity with mental health and gender-based violence

• Bilingual abilities are advantageous
