Make a difference in the community as a Rapid Mobile Case Manager with Good Shepherd. This role focuses on shelter diversion supports for families at risk of homelessness, requiring strong outreach skills.
As part of the Family Centre team, you will provide essential short-term case management and resolution services. Collaborate closely with emergency shelters and local agencies to ensure families navigate their housing needs effectively. The role demands an understanding of trauma relating to homelessness and the ability to implement a strengths-based trauma-informed approach.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide shelter diversion support to at-risk families
• Coordinate with emergency shelters and partner agencies
• Offer advocacy and housing search assistance
• Maintain knowledge of community resources
• Implement anti-racist/anti-oppressive practices
Requirements:
• Minimum 2 years of community outreach experience
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Current CPR and First Aid Certification
• Valid G Driver's license
• Fluency in additional languages preferred
