Become a vital resource for individuals facing homelessness as a Caseworker with the City of Hamilton.
This role offers opportunities for crisis intervention and case management within a supportive environment.
Reporting to the Supervisor of Human Services, you will manage a complex caseload of clients needing specialized support. Your expertise in the Ontario Works program and crisis management will drive meaningful assistance for individuals experiencing homelessness. This position requires collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure timely support and the development of comprehensive, client-centered plans.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide crisis intervention and safety planning during emergencies
• Collaborate with stakeholders for appropriate responses
• Maintain and assess caseload of clients facing homelessness
• Assist with Ontario Works and financial transactions
• Act as subject-matter expert for community inquiries
Requirements:
• University degree in Health or Social Services
• Extensive experience in counseling clients
• Knowledge of Ontario Works and homelessness systems
• Strong interpersonal and client service skills
• Valid class G driver’s license and reliable vehicle
Utilize your expertise in case management and crisis intervention to support individuals through their journey of overcoming homelessness.
