Overnight Service Coordinator

Empower women at YWCA Hamilton as an Overnight Service Coordinator. This temporary role focuses on providing trauma-informed support while working in the community overnight from Sunday to Wednesday.

YWCA Hamilton is looking for a dedicated Service Coordinator to support women accessing Carole Anne’s Place. This temporary position involves assessing needs, offering crisis intervention, and liaising with community partners while adhering to YWCA’s feminist and anti-racist framework. You will facilitate supportive counseling and advocate for clients, ensuring they can navigate available services effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct initial assessments for women accessing services

• Provide crisis intervention and supportive counseling

• Liaise with community services and housing providers

• Maintain records of client outcomes and attendance

• Conduct daily programming and general housekeeping duties

Requirements:

• Post-secondary education in Social Work or related field

• Experience with marginalized women and crisis management

• Bilingual English/French preferred

• Knowledge of social housing systems in Hamilton

• Must obtain Vulnerable sector police check
