Position: Hamilton Detention Centre Social Worker Role
Help transform lives as a Social Worker at the Hamilton-Wentworth Detention Centre. Leverage your counseling and rehabilitative skills to serve female offenders in this on-site position.

As a key team member, you will conduct comprehensive assessments and participate in the development of rehabilitative programs tailored to female offenders. This role requires a registered Social Worker with strong analytical capabilities and advanced interpersonal skills. You will work closely with clients and correctional staff, ensuring effective interventions and support systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Complete clinical assessments for crisis intervention

• Conduct treatment and case management planning

• Develop and implement rehabilitative programming

• Foster community links for offender reintegration

• Monitor and evaluate treatment program effectiveness

Requirements:

• Registration with OCSWSSW as a Social Worker

• Bachelor of Social Work or Master of Social Work

• Experience with gender-responsive practices

• Familiarity with community support services

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
