Homelessness System Caseworker

Be part of a compassionate team in Hamilton as a Caseworker focused on homelessness and supportive services. This position requires expertise in crisis intervention, case management, and community collaboration.
You will work closely with individuals and families experiencing homelessness, providing tailored support through Ontario Works and related services. As a subject matter expert, you’ll handle complex inquiries and develop effective action plans to address client needs. Your responsibilities will include crisis response, eligibility assessment, and community engagement to improve service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
• Address immediate crises related to homelessness and safety
• Manage a diverse caseload of complex client needs
• Evaluate eligibility for financial assistance programs
• Liaise with agencies for comprehensive service responses
• Facilitate training and presentations in the community
Requirements:
• Degree in Health, Human Services or related field
• Experience assisting clients in homelessness and mental health
• Knowledge of Ontario Works legislation and guidelines
• Strong interpersonal skills in collaboration and conflict resolution
• Valid class G driver’s license and access to a vehicle
