Mobile Case Manager for Family Shelter Diversion

Join Good Shepherd as a Mobile Case Manager, focusing on providing shelter diversion supports for families in need. This role requires flexible shifts and strong community outreach abilities.

As a member of the Family Centre, you'll deliver critical case management services to families facing imminent homelessness. Work collaboratively with local shelters and agencies to identify safe alternatives for housing while ensuring families receive appropriate resources. Understanding trauma's impact on housing stability is vital, alongside executing a trauma-informed, strengths-based approach.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist families in identifying housing alternatives

• Provide mediation and financial support services

• Collaborate with emergency shelters for resource coordination

• Navigate various systems for client assistance

• Uphold anti-racist and anti-oppressive practices

Requirements:

• At least 2 years of experience in emergency shelter

• Knowledge of community housing resources

• Excellent written and oral communication skills

• Current CPR and First Aid Certification

• Valid G Driver’s license required
