Position: Full-Time Employment Counsellor Role

Reporting to the Employment Services Team Lead, this position requires flexible availability, including evenings and weekends. You will engage in extensive job development activities, establishing connections with local employers to create employment opportunities tailored for justice-involved individuals. Your expertise in employment counselling will be crucial in supporting clients and ensuring their job retention.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct individual and group employment counselling sessions

• Develop job opportunities through employer networking

• Provide job retention and maintenance support

• Engage with clients to assess their needs

• Collaborate with the Employment Services Team Lead

Requirements:

• Strong background in employment counselling techniques

• Proven experience in job development

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work flexible hours as required

• Understanding of issues faced by justice-involved individuals
