As a key member of the Settlement team at ACCT, you will provide crucial orientation and case management services to immigrants and refugees, helping them navigate their journey in Canada. Your responsibilities will include developing settlement plans tailored to individual needs, delivering informative workshops, and ensuring ongoing support through follow-ups and referrals to community resources.
Key Responsibilities:
• Implement assessments using the NAARS template for client needs
• Create personalized settlement strategies for newcomers
• Identify and facilitate necessary internal and external referrals
• Conduct workshops on settlement topics including housing and legal rights
• Maintain detailed service records and report outcomes
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Social Work or related field
• At least two years of direct settlement support experience
• In-depth understanding of settlement challenges for newcomers
• Ability to use databases like OCMS or iCARE proficiently
• Excellent communication skills in English;
Arabic is a plus
