Make a difference as a Full-Time Case Worker with The Salvation Army in Hamilton. Support those facing homelessness by providing essential case management and community resource referrals.
As a permanent Case Worker, you will directly report to the Program Manager and assist individuals and families at risk of homelessness.
Your role will encompass intake assessments, problem-solving, and the implementation of quality-of-life improvement strategies. Flexibility in scheduling and a focus on sincere interactions will be necessary for success in this impactful position.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and manage a caseload of clients
• Conduct intake assessments using VI SPDAT and Diversion tools
• Offer counseling and referrals to community services
• Assist with client crises during meal services
• Document activities accurately in designated logs
Requirements:
• Diploma in Social Service or relevant experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and communication
• Experience with socially disadvantaged individuals
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
• Capability to lift up to forty pounds
