Part-Time Youth Support Counselor

This position caters to youth aged 16-21 experiencing homelessness. Support their journeys through crisis prevention strategies, educational program facilitation, and community advocacy. Engage in a compassionate atmosphere promoting dignity and self-determination for every client.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement individual assessments and support planning

• Provide crisis intervention and stabilize challenging situations

• Teach essential life skills and facilitate recreational activities

• Act as an advocate for clients with community resources

• Adhere to health and safety standards at all times

Requirements:

• Degree or diploma in social services or related field

• Relevant experience with youth in supportive roles

• CPR certification or interest in obtaining it

• Familiarity with treatment guidelines for youth

• Multilingual skills considered an asset
