As part of Upstart's Partner Integrations and Origination Platform team, you'll focus on enhancing the efficiency of loan origination. This Senior Software Engineer position (L5) entails reducing operational complexities, improving system resilience, and modernizing infrastructure. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive secure and effective lending practices.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and maintain backend services for origination flows
• Refactor existing systems for improved scalability
• Develop automation solutions for partner onboarding
• Foster collaboration across engineering and product teams
• Participate in operational support and root cause analysis
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree with 4+ years software engineering experience
• 6+ years building and operating backend services
• Knowledge of Ruby or similar frameworks
• Experience with distributed systems
