Shift work, overtime and weekends as required.

Key Job Responsibilities

Operate a counterbalanced forklift and other industrial lift trucks.

Load, unload and move materials from different types of equipment such as flatbed trailers, box trailers, containers, box rail cars and center beam rail cars.

Communicate with inbound truck drivers, obtaining paperwork and verifying material quantities.

Communicate with outbound truck drivers, verifying bills of lading to carriers and signing paperwork on departure.

Assist and coordinate with machine operators and other shop floor processes.

Sort, crate and stack materials.

Consolidate empty pallets and shipping containers.

Adhere to and promote safety protocols.

Education And Experience

2-3 years experience safely operating a counterbalanced forklift.

Counterbalanced forklift training.

Forklift Operator certification.

Propane certification a plus.

A moderate comfort level with computers and role associated technology.

Physical Requirements

Ability to work in a physically demanding industrial environment.

Ability to perform physical activities that require full body mobility, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping and standing for an extended period.

Ability to lift 50 lb in a safe manner.

Occasionally work outdoors in adverse conditions.
