Help local cancer patients access necessary treatments by volunteering as a Wheels of Hope driver with the Canadian Cancer Society. This role requires a commitment of 3-4 half or full days each month.
As a volunteer driver, you’ll provide essential transportation for clients during weekdays, with a focus on safety and client comfort. This position requires a minimum commitment of 6 months and flexibility to accommodate varying schedules.
Your role extends beyond driving, as you'll be an essential support for clients during their journeys.
Key Responsibilities:
• Offer transportation to local cancer treatment centers
• Communicate travel details with clients efficiently
• Assist clients with entering and exiting the vehicle as needed
• Maintain updated driving credentials and insurance documentation
• Work collaboratively with the Transportation Specialist
Requirements:
• Full driver's license and acceptable driving history
• Minimum coverage of $1M in liability insurance
• Ability to pass a criminal record check
• Comfortable with online communication and scheduling tools
• Respect for client confidentiality and policies
