We are currently looking for a Driver Manager who has a passion for the transportation industry and would like to join a knowledgeable team of individuals that deal with specialized freight.

Job Description:

  • Consistently answering the phone and dealing with driver requirements — hook‑up information, departure times, delay information and other concerns as required.
  • Bill shipments in the system as well as know when to manifest them or strip them from a trailers manifest in the TMW.
  • Work with multiple shared spreadsheets and keep all data current.
  • Track shipments for customers.
  • Coordinate the flow of inbound and outbound freight while staying abreast of daily priorities and weekly transportation targets.
  • Ensure carrier compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Communicate with brokers, carriers and the customers to resolve any discrepancies.
  • Verify and troubleshoot any issues in shipping or customs documentation including, but not limited to, PODs, BOL, ACE, ACI, PARS and PAPS and carrier confirmation.
  • Proactively communicate service risks to customers to provide proper resolution.
  • Many other duties as advised or required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or College Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management and/or Business is required.
  • Must be computer literate.
  • Must be detail oriented and able to prioritize multiple tasks at any given time.
  • Able to work under pressure and spend a majority of your shift on the phone dealing with drivers, terminal personnel, as well as internal and external customers.
  • Some understanding of the Dangerous Goods laws, as well as the hours of service legislation would be an asset.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Supply Chain/Transportation industry is required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with the aptitude to learn new software quickly.
  • Problem solving and decision‑making skills with the ability to work in a team environment.
