Shape the future of public transit safety as a Diesel and CNG Bus Technician with the City of Hamilton. This role is essential for ensuring transit vehicles are in peak condition for all users.
You will be responsible for the efficient service, repair, and inspection of various bus components, utilizing your 310T certification. In this role, embrace a commitment to safety and integrity as you diagnose transit vehicle issues and execute repairs to industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Overhaul and maintain engines, transmissions, and suspension
• Conduct thorough safety inspections and preventative maintenance
• Utilize OEM diagnostic software for problem-solving
• Document repairs and maintenance accurately
• Provide on-road service and assistance as needed
Requirements:
• Ontario Truck and Coach Technician Licence (310T) required
• Must retain competency on transit vehicle operations
• Valid Class “G” Ontario Driver’s Licence;
Class “C” with “Z” endorsement preferred
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Willingness to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends
