American Iron & Metal (AIM) is seeking a Transportation Planner with a focus on coordinating daily transportation activities. This role requires at least 2 years of experience in logistics or transportation operations. Proficiency in optimization and communication is crucial for building effective schedules and assisting drivers in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and dispatch daily transportation across multiple locations

• Optimize routes for fleet productivity and cost efficiency

• Coordinate pickups and movements between AIM facilities and customers

• Monitor driver activity and transportation performance daily

• Communicate effectively with drivers about schedules and route changes

Requirements:

• Preferred post-secondary qualification

• 2+ years in dispatching or transportation planning

• Strong understanding of logistics operations

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and TMS software
