Description
The role of Housing Assistant is part of the local council property services unit. The position involves a wide range of clerical duties such as word processing, filing and photocopying, while supporting Housing Officers and providing advice to tenants and customers. It directly impacts the community and our service users.

Work PatternMonday – Thursday 8.45am – 4.45pm, Friday 8.45am – 4.15pm
Salary£25,183 – £28,358 per year
Responsibilities- Carry out clerical duties such as word processing, filing and photocopying.
- Support Housing Officers and provide advice to tenants and customers.
- Demonstrate organisation and prioritisation of workload, respond to changing priorities and contribute effectively to team goals and projects.
- Use all relevant IT systems and software applications, with a working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality due to the front line nature of the service.
- Excellent customer care and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Word and Excel.
- Commitment to customer care principles and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Capability to fulfil the front line service requirements and attend a selection event if required.
