Medical Recepitonist West Medical

We are looking for a motivated, reliable Medical Receptionist/Administrator to join our friendly and supportive team within the Thistle Medical Group and have practices in Hamilton, Airdrie and New Stevenston. We have part-time and full-time positions available and we use Vision and Docman clinical system. At Thistle Medical Group we are looking for someone who is professional, calm and empathetic who can be a team player and is able to work under pressure.

The role requires flexibility to occasionally provide additional cover during holiday and sickness.

• Greeting patients and visitors with a courteous, friendly approach
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
• Maintain a tidy and organised reception area
• Answering and directing telephone calls including appointment bookings and enquires.
• Supporting clinicians and administrative tasks
• Responding to emails and general enquires
• Managing incoming and outgoing mail, including electronic documents
• Signposting patients to the appropriate services where necessary
• Performing general administrative duties as required
• Previous experience working in a GP practice or NHS setting is preferable but not essential as training will be given
