Role Description

We have an exciting clerical opportunity to join our South Lanarkshire Health and Social Care Performance and Support Service Team we have a Clerical Assistant vacancy within the Hamilton Local Office. This is a permanent 35 hour post working Monday – Friday (Mon – Thurs 08:45 – 16:45, 1 hour for lunch, Fri 08:45 – 16:15, 30 minutes for lunch)

Key Responsibilities

We would undertake a wide variety of admin duties including data inputting to our Social Work case management system, provide a word processing service, deal with enquiries and referrals generated via our shared mailboxes, minute taking, arranging meetings using the Outlook facility, maintaining spreadsheets, answering and fielding phone calls, using Multi Functional Devices for scanning of documents and other general admin tasks to support our colleagues who provide a frontline service to the community.

Ideal Candidates

We welcome applications from people who have an excellent knowledge of IT packages. Ideally you will have experience of working within an office, however this is not essential as you will be given full training.

If recruitment checks are not completed within a reasonable timescale, you may automatically be withdrawn from this position.

Canvasing of Elected Members or employees of South Lanarkshire's Council directly or indirectly in connection with any appointment within the Council shall disqualify the applicant.

Overseas Criminal Records Check
