Location: Council Headquarters, Hamilton
Hours: 35 hours per week, Permanent
Work Pattern: Monday - Thursday 8.45am - 4.45pm, Friday 8.45am
-4.15pm
Salary / Hourly Rate: £25,183 - £27,063 per year
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Employee Development and Diversity team as a Clerical Assistant.
This varied and dynamic role will offer significant opportunities for professional development. It will support a variety of projects across the department’s equality, diversity, and inclusion portfolio. This will include:
Supporting events aimed at diverse audiences
Working with the Seniors Together programme in the delivery of the Age-Friendly South Lanarkshire programme.
Maintaining membership
Communication with programme members
Monitoring a variety of email inboxes
Making and receiving phone calls
Support with the delivery of statutory action plans, including areas such as British Sign Language
Minute taking and supporting meetings covering a variety of equality, diversity, and inclusion initiatives
Supporting development of print materials, as well as sharing material online
Monitoring of social media
Maintaining a record system for project evaluation
You will be required to demonstrate proficient IT skills including Microsoft Word, Outlook, and MS Teams. Experience of minute taking would also be desirable. You will be frequently required to maintain, update, and provide management information.
