This is an excellent opportunity for a college or university student, recent graduate, educator, or technology enthusiast looking for meaningful part-time work while making a real difference in the lives of Bermuda's young people.

About the Role

As a Digital Citizenship Instructor, you will inspire students from Primary through Senior School by delivering interactive workshops that help them become confident, responsible, and ethical digital citizens.

You'll teach students how to use technology safely, responsibly, and positively while developing leadership skills that extend beyond the classroom.

You will also facilitate engaging workshops for parents, teachers, and community organizations, helping adults better understand the ever-changing digital world young people experience every day.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging digital citizenship workshops in Bermuda's schools.
  • Teach students about online safety, cybersecurity, responsible social media use, cyberbullying prevention, digital footprints, online reputation, Artificial Intelligence awareness, media literacy, misinformation, digital wellness, ethical technology use, and online privacy and security.
  • Facilitate youth leadership and peer leadership programmes.
  • Lead workshops and discussions with parents, teachers, and community groups.
  • Represent UMIN Design professionally within schools and the wider community.
  • Assist with programme development and educational resources.
  • Maintain positive relationships with school administrators and community partners.
Qualifications

We're looking for someone who:

  • Holds a High School Diploma (required).
  • Has a solid foundation in technology and digital citizenship.
  • Enjoys working with children and teenagers.
  • Is confident speaking in front of groups.
  • Is organized, dependable, and professional.
  • Has strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Is passionate about education, leadership, and community engagement.
Bonus Skills

Experience in any of the following is considered an asset:

  • Education or youth work.
  • Information Technology.
  • Cybersecurity.
  • Computer Science.
  • Public speaking.
  • Workshop facilitation.
  • Social media or digital communications.
