Within the Engineering function at Framatome Ltd, the C&I Engineer performs C&I studies for projects, ensuring on‑time and on‑cost delivery and supporting the company’s growth by strengthening technical skills in the C&I field.
Key Activities- In close co‑ordination with the Lead Engineer on site, perform C&I studies, including site surveys, analysis of input data, clarification requests, identification of interfaces and link with other disciplines.
- Ensure resolution of open points within the team and participate in cross‑functional technical issue resolution with multidisciplinary stakeholders, including the client.
- Produce site surveys, control architecture drawings, block diagrams and requirement specifications for control panels, instruments, etc.
- Support on‑site installation activities.
- Support bid development: analyse contract requirements regarding C&I, identify appropriate resources, plan work, prepare work packages for subcontracting and participate in kick‑off meetings with subcontractors.
- Present and share progress with the Lead Engineer and Management.
- Contribute to the development of C&I skills within the Engineering function, particularly through training and mentoring of newcomers.
- Site surveys, control architecture drawings, block diagrams, requirement specifications for control panels, instruments, etc.
- Continuous improvement contributions, suggestions, lessons learned and experience feedback from projects.
- Engineer with several years of experience in layout and piping.
- Proficient with Microsoft Word/Excel, Autodesk Plant 3D, AutoCAD, E3D/PDMS.
- Key competencies: interpersonal and communication skills, proactive, influencing skills, ability to work in a team and independently, multi‑tasking, logical thinking, results‑focused, and ability to meet commitments and deadlines.
- Good knowledge of standards such as BS EN IEC 60709, BS 60073, BS EN IEC 52003 & 61000, and standards relating to electromagnetics and instrumentation, cables, and wiring.
- Experience in C&I in industry, ideally in the nuclear sector.
- Ability to communicate easily with other disciplines and solve multi‑disciplinary problems.
- 25 days annual leave per year, rising by 1 day for every 2 years worked (max 30 days) + Bank Holidays.
