About the opportunity

At Jacobs, you’ll help shape some of the UK’s most important infrastructure projects while influencing how structural engineering is delivered in the future. As part of our Bridges & Structures team, you’ll apply your technical expertise to solve complex challenges across highways, rail, energy, aviation and major infrastructure programmes, helping clients improve the performance, resilience and sustainability of their assets.

You’ll work closely with experienced engineers, technical specialists and delivery teams across the UK and globally, giving you exposure to a diverse range of challenges, sectors and opportunities for professional growth.

Success in this role is about more than delivering great engineering. It’s about influencing project outcomes, developing people, building trusted client relationships and helping shape the future direction of our Bridges & Structures capability. Whether your experience comes from bridges, buildings, asset management, energy or another structural discipline, you’ll have the opportunity to make a lasting impact on projects that matter.

  • Degree-qualified in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Chartered Engineer (CEng) status, or working towards chartership with a clear pathway to achieving it.
  • Experience delivering structural engineering projects within infrastructure, transportation, energy, utilities, buildings or related sectors.
  • Strong technical engineering and problem-solving capability.
  • Experience leading projects, technical packages or engineering teams.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with clients, stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams.
