The Role
As Assistant Finance Manager, you’ll play an important role in supporting the Finance Manager with the day-to-day running of the finance function. You’ll be involved in a range of accounting activities and will have the opportunity to get involved in both the detail and the bigger picture.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Supporting the preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reporting.
* Assisting with month-end and year-end close processes.
* Preparing and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations.
* Supporting budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
* Analysing financial information and providing clear commentary on key movements.
* Assisting with the preparation of financial reports for senior management.
* Working closely with other departments to ensure financial information is accurate and delivered on time.
* Supporting audit processes and providing information as required.
* Identifying opportunities to improve financial processes and controls.
* Providing support and guidance to junior members of the finance team where required.
* Taking ownership of ad-hoc analysis and finance projects as they arise.
About You
We’re looking for someone who is ambitious, commercially minded and keen to continue developing their career within a high-performing finance function.
You’ll ideally have:
* Part-qualified status with ACCA or CIMA
* Previous experience within a management accounting or similar finance role.
* Good knowledge of month-end processes, reconciliations and financial reporting.
* Strong Excel skills and confidence working with large volumes of financial data.
* Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to your work.
* The ability to analyse financial information and explain your findings clearly.
* Strong communication skills, with the confidence to work with stakeholders across the business.
* The ability to manage your own workload, meet deadlines and work effectively in a busy environment.
* A genuine desire to progress and develop within finance.
What’s On Offer?
This is a great opportunity to join a global organisation that can offer genuine career development and the chance to build on your existing accounting experience.
In return, you can expect a competitive salary and benefits package, along with a supportive environment where you’ll be given the opportunity to develop and progress your career.
If you’re a part-qualified accountant ready to take the next step and feel this could be the right opportunity for you, we’d love to hear from you
