What we do

Provide a professional valuation and electoral registration service for North and South Lanarkshire council areas, compiling the Valuation Rolls, Valuation (Council Tax) List and Register of Electors.

Who we are looking for

The post holder will oversee statutory operations, plan and implement policies, procedures and organisational change related to legislation, projects and objectives. They will consider a wide range of information, solve complex problems under tight deadlines, and make decisions within restricted timescales. The role involves multiple simultaneous projects, forward‑planning of resources, and implementation of new policies.

Duties and responsibilities

Lead and contribute to internal working groups; communicate with local authorities, Scottish Assessors Association, external stakeholders and suppliers. Influence and negotiate complex appeal cases and act as advocate and witness at tribunals where necessary.

Training and qualifications

Required:

Practical experience in Electoral Registration and Representation of the People Act;
Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors membership. Additional: training in valuation of designated utility subjects and continuing membership of RICS.
Driving licence and vehicle use desirable but not required.
