The Solutions / Pre-Sales Architect will support the sales team by designing, presenting, and validating technical solutions for prospective customers. This role bridges commercial and technical teams, working closely with Sales, Product, and Customer Success to ensure Answertree’s platform is positioned as the best-fit solution for customer needs.

Responsibilities

  • Support the sales team throughout the pre-sales lifecycle, from discovery to deal close
  • Lead technical discovery sessions to understand customer requirements and business challenges
  • Design and present tailored product demonstrations based on customer documentation
  • Translate customer needs into technical and functional requirements
  • Collaborate with our CTO and Development team to validate solution feasibility
  • Act as a trusted technical advisor to prospective customers
  • Support proof of value and trial projects when required
  • Provide structured feedback to Product and Leadership based on prospect and customer insights
  • Ensure smooth technical handover to Customer Success for ongoing relationship and value management
  • Maintain accurate Hubspot records related to technical opportunities and solutions

Required Experience

  • Strong experience in a Solutions Engineer, Pre-Sales Engineer, or Solutions Architect role
  • Background in B2B SaaS platforms and enterprise software environments
  • Experience supporting complex sales cycles and enterprise customers
  • Ability to translate technical concepts into business value
  • Strong presentation and stakeholder management skills
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced start-up or scale-up environment
  • Highly organised with strong documentation skills
  • Experience working with RFPs or broader Sales processes (preferred)
  • Knowledge of integrations, APIs, and workflow platforms (preferred)
  • Experience with in the vendor / distributor / reseller model (preferred)
