ODI Developer – 6 month contract initially with extensions. Based in Leeds/Hybrid. Max 2 days per week onsite. Rate: £450‑£525 per day (via umbrella company).

Overview

The role involves designing, developing and maintaining ETL/data integration solutions using Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) to enable efficient data flow for analytics and business intelligence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Exposure to OLAP, OLTP, Data Warehouse, and Data Marts development to facilitate data analytics and insights.
  • Develop Fact and Dimension tables using ODI, with explicit working knowledge of SCD types.
  • Design and develop Mappings, reusable mappings, Packages, Procedures, Load plans, User functions, Variables, and Sequences in ODI 12c.
  • Configure Physical and Logical topologies as required, and create Contexts and mappings.
  • Maintain ODI master and work repositories; manage ETL control tables, error logging, auditing, and data quality.
  • Build data integration and transformation routines from source systems to target stores using ODI 12c, including batch and real‑time integrations.
  • Use and customize Knowledge Modules (KM); monitor Operators and Agents.
  • Strong SQL/PL SQL expertise; experience with Oracle Golden Gate, Oracle and SQL Server databases is an advantage.
  • Work in high‑volume environments, optimizing query performance and understanding query costs.
Key Skills & Experience
  • Proficiency with Oracle Data Integrator.
  • Analytical ability to design, build, test and implement improvements to existing systems or new applications.
  • Experience with SQL and SQL scripting.
  • Understanding of technical specifications for ETL.
  • Ability to work in an agile environment and quickly learn new data tools.
  • Strong prioritisation and task execution in a fast‑paced setting.
Desirable Skills & Knowledge
  • Strong analytical and problem‑resolution skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
