Location: Larkhall

Menzies Distribution Solutions Limited are currently looking for an experienced Transport Supervisor to join our busy based in the Larkhall. You will be responsible for developing and building efficient routes whilst maximising vehicle capacity, ensuring all work is distributed whilst complying with Transport Legislation, Health & Safety and customer service requirements. Ensuring that the Transport Planners deliver the customer’s products on time and in full using the most cost effective means possible and best use of available resources including maximising the utilisation of Menzies Drivers in line with current driver hours and WTD legislation.

    Monday to Friday Nights

Key Duties and Accountabilities (Will include but not be limited to)
  • Daily control and execution of the transport plan and adapting as neccessary
  • Briefing and De-Briefing drivers to ensure deliveries are completed in a safe manner in accordance to Menzies standards.
  • Actioning all driver and customer quieries and responding in a proffesional manner.
  • Awareness of vehicle earnings/efficiencies and understanding their significance
  • Effective communication to drivers, customers and operations
  • Ensuring all site compliance is adhered to
  • Championing all transport systems and maintaining screen compliance
  • Managing site Health and Safety procedures
Key Experience and Qualifications
  • People management skills
  • Experience of working in a busy Transport office
  • Knowledge of Drivers Hours, Tachograph and WTD legislation
  • Knowledge of Continuous Improvement.
