Area Repairs Manager – Property Services
Location: Hamilton Business Unit
Hours: 35 hours per week, Permanent
Salary: £52,922 – £57,885

The role is to manage the housing repairs service for dedicated geographical areas within Property Services. The successful candidate will lead a diverse team of staff and craft operatives, and oversee a wide range of work streams and support services.
Responsibilities- External repairs
- Internal emergency repairs and repairs by appointment
- Programme of planned maintenance repairs
- Council's 24‑hour emergency repairs service
- Workshop at Hamilton & Clydesdale Business Unit
- New Build repairs
- Sheltered Housing repairs
- Fire Damage Works (Under £10k)
- Dampness Team
- Plan and efficiently use resources, manage budgets, and deliver tasks on time and within budget
- Develop, monitor and review performance indicators and reports
- Maintain a strong awareness of health and safety in the workplace
- Provide competent IT support, including Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel. Experience with E‑Consol and Bi Query is advantageous.
- Demonstrable experience of planning, resource and budget management
- Commitment to customer care and strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience working in a housing maintenance environment, meeting targets and predetermined timescales
- Knowledge of health and safety practices
- Proficient IT skills (Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel); experience with E‑Consol and Bi Query is an advantage
