Position: Hygiene - Team Member Ops Support

Overview

Hygiene - Team Member Ops Support at Finsbury Food Group

Location:

Lightbody, Bothwell Road, Hamilton, ML3 0DW

Shift: 4 on / 4 off, working hours 6.30 am – 6.30 pm

Hourly Rate: £12.36

Responsibilities
  • Ensure all production areas, equipment, and facilities are cleaned to the highest hygiene and food safety standards.
  • Follow daily and weekly cleaning schedules, complete deep-clean tasks, and carry out shutdown cleans including machinery strip-downs (training provided).
  • Work as part of a team and independently when required, using your initiative to complete tasks safely and efficiently during periods of lone working.
  • Accurately complete hygiene paperwork to demonstrate full compliance with due diligence, technical requirements, and site procedures.
  • Maintain pest-control standards and adopt safe systems of work to ensure a safe environment for all.
  • Follow “clean as you go” practices, promote safe behaviours, and work towards zero accidents.
  • Support colleagues, meet hygiene targets, and keep the site production-ready as part of the team.
  • Training opportunities will be available to develop skills and progress within the team.
  • Additional duties may be required to support operational needs.
Qualifications / Ideal Candidate
  • Previous experience in hygiene or industrial cleaning (preferred).
  • Experience in FMCG or food manufacturing (advantageous).
  • Strong attention to detail with a conscientious approach.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
  • Confident working independently when required.
  • Physically fit and able to bend, lift, and access areas under machinery.
  • Good attendance and timekeeping.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work to schedules.
  • Strong knowledge of high standards of hygiene.
