National Account Manager

Alexander Steele is working in partnership with a leading UK food manufacturer to recruit a Business Account Manager to join its Grocery Sales team.

• Managing and developing key grocery retail accounts, with significant responsibility for the Morrisons relationship
• Building strong relationships across multiple customer contacts and functions
• Leading commercial negotiations and identifying opportunities for account growth
• Managing account P&Ls, forecasts and commercial performance
• Supporting and project managing own-label product development and customer launches
• Working closely with internal commercial, development, operations and supply chain teams
• Managing multiple customer projects and priorities simultaneously
• Developing long-term account plans and identifying new commercial opportunities

• Account Management or Key Account Management experience within FMCG
• Experience managing grocery retail customers at either regional or national level
• Good understanding of P&L management
• Excellent planning, organisation and stakeholder management skills
• Own-label experience would be highly advantageous
• Previous Morrisons experience or an established network within the retailer would be particularly valuable

• Discretionary bonus of up to 10%
• Hamilton preferred, with Cardiff also considered
• Flexible approach to office attendance, ideally around two days per week depending on customer requirements

The interview process will consist of an initial informal interview followed by a face-to-face second stage involving a presentation and assessment.
