Job Role

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Territory Manager to take responsibility for driving commercial performance and customer relationships across an established geographical territory.

Working closely with senior management and internal teams, you will oversee the day-to-day sales activity for a range of equipment and machinery, acting as a key point of contact for customers throughout the sales process.

The role will focus on developing existing accounts, identifying new business opportunities and maximising sales performance within the territory, while ensuring commercial targets and wider business objectives are achieved. You will be expected to build strong customer relationships, understand local market opportunities and deliver sustainable, profitable growth.

Location

Field based role with travel covering Northern England and Scotland - exact territory to be confirmed.

Salary Package

Total Salary Package of up to circa £65,000 including bonuses + Company Vehicle.

Key Responsibilities
  • Take ownership of sales performance and commercial growth across your geographical territory.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with an established network of agricultural dealers.
  • Develop existing accounts while identifying and pursuing new business opportunities within the territory.
  • Create and implement territory sales plans, setting clear objectives to maximise revenue and market share.
  • Regularly visit dealer accounts to understand their requirements, provide support and identify opportunities for further growth.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of the full machinery portfolio, providing dealers and customers with appropriate technical and product advice.
  • Keep up to date with competitor activity, market trends and developments within the agricultural machinery sector.
  • Support dealers with customer demonstrations, product launches, open days, training sessions and other promotional activities.
  • Attend relevant agricultural trade shows and industry events, helping to maximise engagement with prospective and existing customers.
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure a smooth and efficient sales process from enquiry through to delivery.
  • Manage quotations, orders, CRM records and relevant sales administration accurately and efficiently. Monitor dealer accounts and work with relevant internal teams to support effective credit and payment management.
  • Gather and maintain accurate market and customer intelligence to inform future sales activity. Prepare regular sales reports, presentations and territory updates for management and customers. Assist dealers with customer visits, factory tours, technical training and other initiatives designed to strengthen relationships and generate sales.
  • Maintain accurate records of machinery, promotional materials and relevant stock held across the dealer network.
  • Handle customer queries and concerns promptly, working towards practical solutions while maintaining high levels of customer service.
  • Represent the business professionally at all times and ensure commercially sensitive information is handled appropriately.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across sales, technical, administration and wider business functions.
  • Take an active approach to professional development, keeping product knowledge and industry expertise up to date.
  • Contribute ideas and initiatives that can improve customer service, sales performance and overall business development.
Essential Candidate Requirements
  • GCSEs or equivalent qualifications, including a good standard of Maths and English.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel extensively within the territory.
  • Strong IT capability, with experience using Microsoft Office, CRM systems and other relevant business software.
  • Confident and professional communicator, comfortable engaging with colleagues, dealers, senior stakeholders and end users.
