Security Patrol Officer

• Your main responsibility will be working outdoors in all weather conditions to control pedestrian and vehicular access and maintain the security of the College site.
• Act as a calm, approachable point of contact for students, staff, and visitors.
• Regularly patrol the campus, not just to monitor surveillance, but to build positive rapport with the student body.
• Use professional communication and de-escalation techniques to handle incidents involving young adults in accordance with College processes.
• Uphold the highest standards of student welfare, ensuring our safeguarding culture is maintained at all times.
• Work closely with the estates/facilities team to manage car parks and contractors accessing the site.
• Investigate incidents thoroughly and complete detailed reports for data and pattern analysis to maintain constant improvement of the security service.
