Job DetailsLocation:
Primarily based in our Hamilton office, ML3 0XB
with regular travel to our Glasgow office and in and around South Lanarkshire too!
Salary: £27,234 per annum, FTE + Excellent Benefits!
Contract:
Part time, 28 hours per week
Benefits: 25 days annual leave increasing to 30 days after 5 years (pro‑rata for part‑time staff), 12 ½ public holidays, 6% Pension contribution and Group Life Insurance!

- Promote Self‑Directed Support (SDS) to service users, carers, and partner organisations.
- Provide information, advice, and signposting to individuals, including those not eligible for SDS.
- Deliver SDS awareness and preparation sessions, workshops, and drop‑in events.
- Support individuals in assessing needs, preparing for SDS assessments, and developing personalised support plans.
- Facilitate and contribute to peer support groups and community asset mapping.
- Plan and deliver training for direct payment recipients and carers.
- Collaborate with GCIL teams and HSCP partners to organise events and share resources.
- Manage time and financial resources effectively, following procedures and identifying cost‑saving opportunities.
- Maintain accurate client records and ensure compliance with data protection and GCIL policies.
- Collect and report data for monitoring and evaluation purposes.
- Continuously develop personal skills and knowledge through training and feedback.
- Promote inclusive living options through presentations and outreach.
- Ensure high‑quality service delivery and uphold GCIL’s values and standards.
- Experience of providing support and/or training using a community development approach.
- Experience of providing information, advice and support.
- An understanding of and commitment to the principles of inclusive living, the social model of disability and the empowerment of disabled people.
- Excellent interpersonal and written skills.
- A great working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- A full driving licence and access to a vehicle.
- Personal experience of self‑managing an inclusive living package.
