Hours: 35hrs per week, temporary for 12 months

Salary / Hourly Rate: £52,392 - £53,177

We are currently looking for a Senior Practitioner to work in our Adult and Older People team within the Hamilton Local Office.

To be considered for a Senior Practitioner post you will need to have extensive experience working with adults in a statutory setting. You will have knowledge of relevant policies, legislation, and guidance together with an ability to assess and manage risk.

To apply for a Senior Practitioner post you must have a Degree in Social Work, Dip SW or other recognised Social Work Qualification. You must be registered with the Scottish Social Services Council and have had Adult Support and Protection training to Council Officer level. You must have a minimum of 3-year post-qualifying experience, accompanied by:

  • Evidence of a Post Graduate Qualification (Practice Teacher Award, Mental Health Officer training, PQ award or equivalent), or
  • Specialist qualification in working with adults e.g. Dementia, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Learning Disability
  • Evidence of management of complex cases

This post is excepted in terms of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Scotland Act 2020.

This post is considered a Regulated Role with Adults, in respect of the Disclosure Scotland Act 2020. Therefore, it is an offence to apply if you are barred from working with Adults.
