With a company culture rooted in collaboration, expertise and innovation, we aim to promote progress and inspire our clients, employees, investors and communities to achieve their greatest potential. Our work is the catalyst that helps others achieve their goals. In short, We Enable Possibility SM.The Tech Lead will solve valuable problems for Arch Reinsurance by leading the design and delivery of the next generation of reinsurance systems.

This is a hands-on engineering leadership role: you will build software, own technical decisions, guide your team’s execution, while partnering with product and business stakeholders to deliver measurable outcomes – not just features.
** Key Responsibilities
*** Lead a team of engineers – coach and mentor your team through pairing, feedback, and role modeling strong engineering judgment and accountability; raise team maturity across the full delivery lifecycle
* Own end-to-end technical design and delivery of valuable reinsurance capabilities, ensuring solutions are feasible, properly sequenced, high quality, and delight your business customers
* Partner with product and business experts to shape solutions, make trade-offs, and remove blockers – turning business goals into outcomes
* Continuously improve our SDLC, tools, and CI/CD pipeline via high-leverage experiments and operational improvements (including agentic coding)
* Identify and manage technical risks early (including cross-team/systemic risks), propose mitigation options, and surface uncertainty transparently
* Support production operations through strong incident management practices, including root cause analysis and preventative improvements.
* Ensure quality and release confidence
** Minimum Qualifications and Experience
*** Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or similar subject or comparable work experience.
* 8years of application development experience, including demonstrated technical leadership on complex initiatives (e.g., leading design, mentoring engineers, owning delivery outcomes)
* Proficiency in .NET Core/C#, SQL/Cosmos DB, React, Type Script, and Git Hub Copilot.

Experience with domain driven design, event sourcing, Service Bus and Snowflake a strong advantage.
* Comfort with asynchronous, event-driven architecture and the engineering tradeoffs they introduce
* Broad expertise in software engineering best practices, methods, and techniques, with a pragmatic mindset to apply right-sized solutions
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to troubleshoot issues and optimize solutions
* Excellent communication skills, including the ability to explain technology and tradeoffs to non-technical stakeholders
* Adaptability and initiative – able to learn new technologies, drive improvements, and work independently while aligning the team.
* Experience working across the full software development lifecycle, including production support and operational readiness

The ideal applicant will be able to travel and occasionally work outside business hours.
