Senior Accountant, Accounting Manager, Financial Reporting, Accounting & Finance
AGM Tech Solutions – a woman- and Latina-owned IT staffing firm and an Inc. 5000 company – is seeking a Sr Accountant to lead a client's internal finance function. An ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and strong corporate accounting fundamentals, ideally in small business environments. Exposure to consulting, engineering, utilities, or electrical engineering domains is a plus.
LocationThis is an on-site position in Hamilton, NJ and visa sponsorship is not offered at this time.
Base pay range$/yr - $/yr

Position OverviewThis is a hands-on role that combines day-to-day accounting responsibilities with high-level financial oversight. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing the firm’s accounting functions, financial reporting, payroll administration, and compliance activities, while also contributing to the development of internal processes and controls.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and coordinate the annual audit process.
- Develop, implement, and maintain financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Prepare timely and accurate financial statements, reports, and analyses for management review.
- Manage daily accounting operations, including:
- Reviewing and updating Quick Books
- Reconciling accounts
- Managing AP/AR and vendor payments
- Overseeing payroll and banking activities
- Collaborate with project managers and the sales team on purchase orders, timesheets, billing, and budget tracking.
- Provide support for HR-related tasks as needed—prior experience or willingness to learn is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA preferred.
- 5-10 years of accounting experience, ideally in a small consulting or engineering environment.
- In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and reporting standards.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Experience with Quick Books and Salesforce preferred.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with internal teams, external vendors, and international offices.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
