Veterinary Technician CTE TeacherJob Description
NJDOE Career and Technical Education Veterinary Technician #2511 Certification Required
EFFECTIVE: School Year
Qualifications- Valid New Jersey Career & Technical Education Veterinary Technician #2511 (CE, Provisional, or Standard);
- Demonstrated knowledge of NJ Student Learning Standards in subject specialty and effective teaching methods;
- Demonstrated knowledge of Animal Health, Animal Sciences, and Animal Handling;
- Ability to conduct/facilitate inquiry-based laboratory investigations;
- Ability to maintain a positive learning environment;
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
- Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status
SALARY RANGE: $68,060 - 95,660
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 10-month position
BenefitsIn addition to the base salary, eligible employees receive a comprehensive benefits package: including medical/vision, prescription, and dental insurance, as well as paid time off. Will be entered into the appropriate NJ Pension Program.
