Role OverviewCRG is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to work directly with our VP of Finance, with a primary focus on FP&A, data analysis, and performance reporting. This role is designed for a high‑caliber early‑career analyst (2‑3 years of experience) who wants meaningful ownership, exposure to senior leadership, and hands‑on experience in a private‑equity‑backed, growth‑oriented environment. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with imperfect data and helping bring structure, clarity, and discipline to financial reporting as the business scales.
Key Responsibilities FP&A and Financial Analysis- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasting and budgeting processes
- Prepare variance analysis vs. budget, forecast, and prior year
- Build and maintain financial models related to revenue, margins, operating expenses, and headcount
- Assist with scenario and sensitivity analysis to support leadership decision making
- Create and analyze unit economics, cost structure, and operating leverage as the business scales
- Conduct headcount, compensation, and workforce planning analysis
- Support month‑end close through analytical reviews, trend analysis, and reasonableness checks
- Partner with Accounting to ensure alignment between actuals, forecasts, and reporting
- Prepare and maintain recurring management reports, KPI/OKR dashboards, and performance summaries
- Ensure accuracy, consistency, and clarity of metrics used by leadership
- Support automation and standardization of recurring reports and analyses
- Lead to ad hoc analytical requests from leadership and internal stakeholders
- Translate financial data into clear, actionable insights for non‑finance stakeholders
- Support preparation of executive‑level materials for leadership reviews and planning discussions
- Assist in evaluating new initiatives, pricing changes, or growth investments through financial analysis
- Support financial reporting and analytics required by PE stakeholders
- Partner with accounting to assist with data requests related to diligence, audits, financing, or acquisitions
- Contribute to special projects tied to growth, scalability, and operational improvement
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or business analytics
- 2‑3 years of experience in FP&A, finance, PE/VC portfolio support, or analytics
- Strong Excel skills with experience building structured financial models
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with high attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Exposure to private‑equity‑backed or venture‑backed companies
- Experience with financial modeling, forecasting, or KPI reporting
- Experience supporting leadership or investor reporting
