Curalta’s providers combine decades of experience with a forward-thinking, innovative approach to treatment in order to maximize patient outcomes and experiences across all lower extremity conditions.
The practicing podiatrist is responsible to diagnose and treat all conditions relating to the lower legs, feet, and ankles. Their duties include consulting with patients, practicing evidence-based medicine with best practices, prescribing appropriate medication and devices as indicated for the condition, and performing all necessary procedures and surgeries to remedy patients' conditions. Continued education on medical advancements and treatments is expected.

Job Duties & Responsibilities Clinical Knowledge
- Demonstrates knowledge of etiologies, risk factors, pathophysiology, and epidemiology of medical conditions
- Utilizes critical thinking to synthesize and analyze collected data
- Develops, implements, and alters the plans of care as indicated
- Demonstrates proficiency in procedural skills pertinent to practice area
- Provides compassionate care, incorporating the patient and family in care planning and treatment across settings
- Serves as an advocate for patients and families in navigating the health care system
- Clinical documentation, including coding and billing, meets all required standards
- Utilization and proficiency of EHR, allowing for timely completion of documentation
- Demonstrates insight into own strengths, limitations, and knowledge deficits, continuously seeking opportunities for clinical advancement and skill attainment
- Actively participates in self-evaluation by seeking and utilizing guidance and constructive feedback in a professional manner
- Works and communicates effectively with multidisciplinary team members, all related health professionals, patients and their families
- Promotes mutual respect and trust working within a team model
- Follows ethical principles regarding patient confidentiality, informed consent, and unanticipated adverse outcomes, demonstrating the highest level of accountability for professional practice
- Flexible, resilient, and open to change in the healthcare landscape, welcoming and participating in opportunities to advance the mission of Curalta Foot & Ankle through service, scholarship, science, and social responsibility
- Doctoral degree in podiatric medicine
- Completion of accredited residency with board qualification or certification
