Senior HR Manager
Our client, a well‑established construction organization, is seeking a Senior HR Manager to lead and refine its Human Resources function. This high‑impact, on‑site role requires partnering with leadership, strengthening HR infrastructure, and supporting a hands‑on field‑based workforce.
Base Pay Range$/yr - $/yr
Responsibilities- Provide strategic and operational leadership across all HR functions, including talent, compliance, employee relations, and organizational development
- Oversee recruiting and workforce planning for field, union, and office‑based roles
- Support employee relations matters, including investigations conducted in office and jobsite environments
- Maintain positive labor relations and support union interactions when applicable
- Oversee performance management programs and partner with leaders on coaching and performance improvement
- Lead benefits administration, leave programs, and compensation‑related initiatives
- Drive onboarding, training, and leadership development programs
- Oversee HR operations, including HRIS, policy management, regulatory reporting, and documentation
- Manage Workers' Compensation claims, FMLA administration, and PTO tracking
- Lead and develop a small HR team supporting administrative and operational functions
- 10+ years of progressive HR experience, including leadership‑level responsibility
- HR certifications such as SHRM‑CP, SHRM‑SCP, PHR, or SPHR highly preferred
- Previous experience in construction, heavy civil, infrastructure, or union environments required
- Strong working knowledge of employment law and compliance requirements across NJ, PA, and NY
- Experience supporting field‑based or project‑driven environments
- Able to balance strategic leadership with practical, real‑world execution
- Strong communicator with the ability to build trust across leadership, supervisors, and field teams
On‑site five days a week.
