Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is responsible for, but not limited to, providing basic patient care under the direction of nursing staff and supporting a safe, comfortable environment for residents.

• Basic patient care under direction of nursing staff
• Perform duties such as feeding, bathing, dressing, grooming, moving patients, or changing linens
• Maintain patient comfort and safety by following care plans and facility protocols
• Collaborate with the nursing team to meet residents’ needs

• Active nursing aide certification in the state of operation
• Must be a certified or state-tested Nursing Assistant in accordance with state laws
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
• Must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age-related needs of residents
• Must be a supportive team member and contribute to a positive team environment
• Must have patience, tact, a cheerful disposition, and the willingness to handle difficult residents
• Must be able to relate information concerning a resident's condition
