American Traveler is hiring an experienced Surgical RN for a Pre/Post/PACU position requiring a Montana or compact RN license and at least 3 years of experience.
Requirements- Active MT or compact RN license required
- Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience required
- ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications preferred
- EMR documentation experience required
- Critical access hospital setting providing Pre-Op, Post-Op, and PACU care
- Surgical patient population spans General, Urology, Ortho Spine, Orthopedics, Ophthalmology, OB/GYN, Endoscopy, and Pain Management cases
- Patients span the full age spectrum with varying acuities
- Day shift schedule from 06:30 to 17:00
- Call requirement of one night per week and one weekend per month
- Possible on-call responsibilities for holiday coverage
- Provide professional nursing care to surgical patients across pre-op, post-op, and PACU phases
- Evaluate the nursing process and document findings in the EMR
- Collaborate with ancillary staff and communicate with providers and coworkers regarding patient conditions
