General Description- Monitoring students on the school bus, at recess, or in the cafeteria
- Assisting the school bus driver with students with special needs
- Monitoring students in the before/after school Latchkey program
- Assisting students and teachers in the classrooms
$16.00/hour holding an Educational Aide Permit with the ESEA highly qualified endorsement on permit
$13.00/hour holding a standard Educational Aide Permit
High School Diploma or equivalent. Training and instructions provided at the school building – no prior work experience with students is required.
Apply for and maintain an Educational Aide Permit from the Ohio Department of Education (ODE). Individuals interested in applying for the ESEA endorsement on their permit will need to meet one of the criteria:
1) hold an Associate’s degree or higher,
2) have taken forty-eight semester hours of college coursework, or
3) take a Paraprofessional exam.
