- NCCER certification or willing and able to obtain
- Associate degree or higher in welding, electrical, or related technology OR American Society of Welding (AWS) certification(s) AND verifiable industry experience consisting of at least five (5) years
- Strong skill and expertise in multiple welding types including SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, GTAW, plasma Arc, and Oxy-Fuel and the use of and maintenance of industrial welding equipment
- Candidate must be coachable in learning and applying student-oriented teaching style with ability to adjust such to suit individual adult learner needs
- Demonstrated ability to work with students, teachers, and administrators as a team member
- Strong proficiency in email and Microsoft Office programs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, including technical writing and presentation skills
- Effective and demonstrated problem solving, critical thinking, analytical, oral and written communication, and organizational skills
- History of strong work record, including good job attendance; and documented evidence of acceptable criminal record as required by Ohio law and Board policy
Industrial Welding Lead Instructor

GENERAL DESCRIPTIONThe Industrial Welding Lead Instructor is responsible for the delivery of quality education that adheres to the standards of the established curriculum (NCCER), which includes the use of classroom and laboratory materials and equipment specifically related to the welding trade as well as Microsoft project management resources. They will facilitate mastery of program related competencies and critical thinking skills essential to function as responsible citizens and successful members of the workforce.
Students will include both adults and high school students.

WORK SCHEDULE230 days; 8 hours per day;
This position works 40 hours per week Monday to Friday. Flexibility to accommodate daytime and evening hours is vital to support class schedules and client needs.
