• Conceptual or theoretical activities related to the principles of engineering, physics, and materials science for the design, analysis, manufacturing, and maintenance of mechanical systems, including static and dynamic behavior.
• Develop specialized knowledge in mechanical engineering, serve as a best‑practice/quality resource, and contribute to strategy and policy development.
• Analyze and improve component durability within the High‑Pressure Turbine (HPT), including technical improvement of existing parts, rig design, TOPS8
  
  Ds, and hardware redesign.
• Use judgment to solve moderately complex tasks, supporting manufacturing, technology, or engineering decisions.
• Lead small projects with moderate risk, act as a resource for less experienced colleagues, and influence others via strong communication.

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 5 years of design engineering experience.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States (no visa sponsorship).

• Master’s degree in engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of turbo machinery or rotating parts design experience.
• Strong HPT/HPC rotor design experience and MRB certification.
• Experience with TOPS8DS and GE Aerospace’s FLIGHT DECK lean operating model.
• Strong oral and written communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
• Proven problem‑solving, program/project leadership, planning, and execution abilities.
• Established project management skills.
